TIC TOC TOKYO are a 4-piece band from Melbourne, Australia. Surfacing in late 2005 TTT quickly made a name for themselves in the Melbourne music scene and beyond, fuelled by their demo recordings (which received radio play on Triple J, RRR, and Sydney's Fbi Radio) and their standout live performances.

Characterised by their energetic melodies, multiple vocals and bold, percussive rhythms, TTT's music is unique and powerful. Informed by a broad range of influences, the band utilise a collaborative songwriting process and an experimentative spirit to create their dynamic, contorted, and haunting songs.

After spending their first two years developing their sound and gigging relentlessly, TTT released their debut EP, Artefacts, in early 2008. Recorded by Casey Rice (with previous production credits including The Dirty Three, Liz Phair & Tortoise) at Head Gap Studios in Melbourne, the 4 track EP is a bold statement of intention which delivers the essence of TTT's sound in a succinct 12 minutes. Artefacts was released independently and is available via a distribution deal with MGM Distribution.

TTT release their new single, Ritual, on October 18th, 2008. Marked by haunting vocals, abrasive tones and percussive rhythms, Ritual sees the band explore a more expansive sound as they develop the experimental aspects of their debut EP, Artefacts. Lead by an unified rhythm and taking on space as an integral element, the track is driven by tension before moving into an atmospheric interlude inhabited by dual overlapping vocals, textured guitars and melodica. Ritual was recorded by producer Nao Anzai at Head Gap Studios in Melbourne and will be available as a 4 track CD via MGM Distribution.
